About Us

Birmingham School of Acting is a specialist institution that offers full-time higher education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as part-time and summer school courses for adults, young people and children.

Owned and operated by the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama Training Trust, we are part of Birmingham City University and are supported by the University's Academic Quality & Support Department.

This department ensures that our courses and academic administration meet the exacting standards required by the Quality Assurance Agency, which oversees the academic quality of all higher education courses nationally.

Creditations

Our acting courses are accredited by the National Council for Drama Training (NCDT) and full-time courses are funded at a premium rate by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) in recognition of the high standards we achieve and the vocational nature of the training.

A founder member of The Conference of Drama Schools, we are located in the impressive, modern Millennium Point building near the centre of Birmingham. We also perform at professional theatres throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands.
