Photoshop for Photographers
Course Overview
This one day training course in Birmingham City centre at the NTI Birmingham is aimed at those working with photography who need to know how to use Photoshop CS 5 for image retouching and enhancement. Delegates will explore how Photoshop can be used as a workflow solution from capture through to print. Cataloging and file back-up will also be examined. Imaging terminology will be explained in clear and accessible language. The requirements for a digital darkroom will be discussed so that images on screen will print accurately. The course will allow delegates to navigate their way through the Photoshop with confidence use the most appropriate tools for photography.

- Removing blemishes and marks using the Clone Stamp and Healing Brush
- Converting colour to monochrome
- Making photographs ready for print – Soft Proofing
- Cropping, sizing and sharpening images for photo-lab printing, inkjet or litho print
Entry Requirements
Prerequisites
Basic IT and Windows/OSX skills, and a basic understanding of photography.
