Supporting learning and assessment in Practice Framework Programme
Becoming a mentor and/or assessor offers a huge range of benefits to you, your profession, employer, patients and the students who you supervise.
The Supporting Learning and Assessment in Practice Framework Programme offers two modules, Preparation for Mentors at level 6 (SPL6003) and Mentorship in Practice Level 7 (SPL7002). These modules are recommended for Health Care Professionals without any previous accredited mentorship/assessment education and training. This course offers 15 credits at level 6 (degree level) or level 7 (Masters level). For Nurses and Midwives, being an approved mentor is part of the NMC statutory requirement. On completion of the course you will be deemed competent to mentor and assess students.
