University lecturer Ross Hawkes won the award in Blogger of the Year category for Lichfield Live at the Midlands Media Awards 2015.
Ross Hawkes has been teaching journalism at the Birmingham School of Media for over two years and is the editor and founder of the Lichfield Live hyperlocal news website:
Ross also presented awards on behalf of Birmingham City University to Newcomer of the Year (James Forrest – Worcester News) and Headline of the Year (LLLLLLDDDWWLDLDDLLLL – Birmingham Mail - a football reference to Villa’s home record).
