Lorraine Busby-McVey initially wanted to be a barrister, but decided that a career in the police force was what she really wanted to do. Working for West Midlands Police in their criminal justice department, Lorraine specialises in training others to see the alternative means of criminal rehabilitation that lie outside of the court system. Her degree gave her not only the legal knowledge and research skills to get the most out of her job, but also the confidence to get her ideas across to other people.
