Suresh Birdi

Suresh Birdi is a Senior Lecturer in law in the School of Law at Birmingham City University and is the director of the LLM International Business Law course. Suresh’s qualifications include an LLB from the University of Wolverhampton where he received an award for the most outstanding student in the European Union law module. He holds an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick.

Suresh teaches across a range of business law and European Union law modules at Birmingham City University (see teaching section below). In 2018, Suresh was awarded the Dean’s Award for Lecturer of the Year for his excellence in teaching and outstanding contribution to the student learning experience. He has been nominated for the ‘Inspiring Lecturer of the Year’ award on multiple occasions during his time at Birmingham City University.

Within the School, Suresh holds many strategic roles such as Director of the International Business Law Research Group and Course Director of the LLM International Business Law course.

Suresh is an active researcher examining the intersection of competition law and technology from a United Kingdom perspective. He regularly attends relevant symposia in the area and has presented his research at conferences and universities including the University of Sheffield, University of Warwick and Birmingham City University.
