Hannah Burrows

Hannah is a dual US-UK qualified lawyer. Hannah read Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford and completed her Legal Practice Course in London, before passing the New York Bar in 2011 and moving to the United States. During 2012, she lived in Louisiana, where she worked on appeals of Death Row prisoners with a capital post-conviction project in New Orleans.

Following this, Hannah completed her LLM in London, specialising in comparative public law and criminal procedure. She also lived in Denmark for two years, where she completed an MA in American Studies. Her thesis examined the role of juries in the modern American death penalty.

Hannah was Called to the Bar of England and Wales at Middle Temple. Prior to joining the University, Hannah worked at the Birmingham office of an international law firm, in the Insolvency and Real Estate teams. Hannah previously worked for ten years in the Media Department of a local Premier League football club and has keen interest in languages.
