Enrolment

What is enrolment?

Enrolment is the process of officially registering onto your course of study and becoming a recognised student of Birmingham City University. This is an essential part of the Orientation Programme. If you do not enrol, you will not be allowed to attend classes or use any of the university facilities.  We will also be obliged to inform the relevant immigration authorities of your failure to enrol.

You should register online to let us know that you will or won’t be attending orientation week. You will receive your enrolment time and location on Monday 12th September once you join Orientation Week in September 2011. Those students arriving after the first day of orientation should speak to a member of staff in the central drop-in office located on the ground floor of Baker Building at City North Campus. This office will be open from Monday 12th September through to Friday 16th September 2011 from 10:00am – 16:00pm.

Those students arriving after orientation week should report to the International Office on the 3rd Floor Baker Building, City North Campus where you will be able to arrange an appointment to enrol.

What do I need to bring to enrolment?

You may be asked to pre-enrol online before arriving in the UK. However, you will still be expected to attend an enrolment appointment with a member of University staff who will take you through the enrolment process.

You will need to bring the following items with you to your enrolment appointment:

  • Passport
  • CAS statement
  • Original Qualifications (including any English Language qualifications such as IELTS or TOEFL)
  • Tuition Fee Payment
