Joining the Students’ Union
As an international student of Birmingham City University, you receive free automatic membership of our Students’ Union, a membership-led organisation which represents and supports all of our students.
The Students' Union is dedicated to getting students involved in as many ways as possible.
There are dozens of sports teams and societies you can join, and if you cannot find anything that interests you, why not set up your own. It is a great way to meet new people and develop transferable skills.
You can also participate in student campaigns, volunteering or any of our media groups. Getting involved with your Students' Union means good fun and a great addition to your CV.
University life can be exciting, fun and rewarding. However, there may be times when you need to deal with money issues, housing problems or academic matters. The Students’ Union Advice Centre is staffed by professional advisors who can assist you with a range of issues and provide loads of useful information.
As part of the Union, the Advice Centre is totally independent and guarantees absolute confidentiality.
