Dawn’s educational and work experience has incorporated multiple disciplines including architecture, landscape architecture, product design and garden design. She has studied and worked in Ireland, the UK, Singapore and China.

She has been involved with architectural projects ranging from restoration of domestic listed building in the UK to large landscape developments in the Middle East.

She pursues research in the areas of place attachment and representation techniques.

Before joining BCU, Dawn has been a full-time lecturer in the UK while co-founding Lunaria Landscapes, which recently won a silver gilt medal at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show for an exciting socially inclusive landscape project. Dawn was also recently awarded first prize in the Landscape Research Group Master’s dissertation awards for her dissertation ‘Patterns of place attachment in the physical life of place’.

Dawn is an advocate for interdisciplinary project work and enjoys the challenge of integrating theoretical research with practical studio-based work.
