Inspired Family Day
On Saturday 9 June, Birmingham City University will once again throw open its doors to families for an action-packed day of free and fun-filled events and activities for all ages.
From theatre to fashion, and sport to TV broadcasting, there will be lots for families to do, experience and be inspired by at our multi-million pound City Centre Campus, situated in the heart of Birmingham’s Eastside.
Part of the University’s annual Inspired Festival, this event will also showcase the talent and creativity of our Arts, Design and Media students, as well as give visitors the chance to meet with our world-class academics, who are training the next generation of leading professionals.
Activities will include* play-in-a-day and ‘Matilda’-inspired illustration workshops in association with Birmingham Hippodrome, designing rail travel of the future with HS2, make-and-take sessions, arts and craft drop-ins, exhibitions, star in your own TV show, jewellery making, textile workshops, a Commonwealth Games-inspired sports day, food and drink** and much, much more!
*Some activities may be subject to change or offered on a first come, first served basis
**Charges apply for food and drink
Baby changing facilities and faith rooms will be available.
