Welcome to The Defence School of Health Care Studies
Working with the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, the School is the sole provider of Pre-Registration Education in nursing, operating department practice and radiography for the Defence Medical Services in the UK.
Post-Registration
The Department of Post Registration Courses (DPC) provides Post-Registration Education for Nurses and other Allied Health Care Professionals within the Defence Medical Services.
Our courses are tailored to meet the specific needs of the Defence Medical Services, including optional modules such as Trauma in Conflict, Defence High Dependency and Disaster Relief, underpinned by two core modules – Contemporary Issues in Defence Nursing and Methods of Research.
Flexibility
Our flexible courses can be studied as stand-alone modules, to complement your existing areas of expertise, or as a unique, full degree course, which develops a full range of skills specific to Defence Health Care. Other qualification options include Graduate Certificate, BSc and Advanced Diploma.
