External researchers
All applications by external researchers wishing to conduct research in the Faculty should apply to the Associate Dean for Research Maxine Lintern and present the following documents:
- Copies of the research proposal, research tools, participant information materials
- Written evidence of ethical review
- A certificate of public liability insurance.
Once these documents are received and checked, written permission for access to the Faculty is issued by the Associate Dean for Research. This permission is for a time-limited period. Applications for extension must be made to the Associate Dean for Research one month before the expiry date.
External researchers will be required to
- comply with University and Faculty policies
- carry appropriate identification when on campus
- provide a short report on completion of their activities on campus or annually.
A member of staff will be assigned to act in a liaison role between the external researchers to assist in matters relating to access to staff/students/rooms or other essentials. Access to specific facilities may be arranged on an individual basis depending on the nature of the research.
