Virtuar Moving and Handling

was designed by leading experts at Birmingham City University to be both engaging and interactive. It provides an interesting real alternative to taught and self-learning for developing competence and updating staff and students on the theory of Moving and Handling.

The developers, Stephen Wanless and Andrea Page, wanted to ensure that students and staff were prepared for Moving and Handling in the workplace. This desire led them to combine their experience in teaching with the latest web-based gaming technology using motion capture.

Stephen and Andrea are senior academics at Birmingham City University with research and teaching interests and are responsible for developing both the theory and practical aspects of the curricula for training in Moving and Handling.

Virtuar Moving and Handling e-learning programme is available to the health care, academic and industry sectors.
