Evidence Based Holding Website

Safe holding of children during health care procedures has previously received little consideration amongst health care providers and educationalists.

Dr Andrea Page at Birmingham City University has conducted considerable research into this topic and this has informed the development of a web resource that uses 3D visualisations to provide guidance on safe holding techniques for practice staff and parents. OSIME are providing general support for the site content and will be enhancing and expanding the artwork as additional holding techniques are added.
