Paramedic Science

Strong demand has been received from our paramedic sciences team for interactive, highly visual and decision focused learning resources. Below is a list of skills areas we will be supporting:

  • Helmet removal;
  •  Scoop stretcher, spinal board, vacuum mattress use;
  •  Log rolling;
  •  Splinting and slinging;
  •  Cervical collar application;
  •  History taking, primary/secondary surveys and clinical examination skills for each body system (including ENT, Cranial nerves etc…);
  • Airway management – OPA, NPA, supra-glottic airways, ET intubation;
  • Intravenous and Intra-osseous cannulation;
  • Thoracentesis;
  • Cricothyroidotomy;
  • Trauma and medical advanced life support.

Demand for 3D and rich media simulations include;

  • Scene management;
  •  Major incidents;
  •  Triage in major trauma/major incidents;
  •  Medicine management;
  •   Virtual ambulance.
