Each Applicant Visit Day has a set morning or afternoon timetable:

There will be opportunities for you to get involved in course-based activities and also find out more about University accommodation and services available to students during the day.

The applicant visit day is your chance to experience the day-to-day life of a student studying Biomedical Sciences at Birmingham City University. 

The day will start with an introductory welcome talk, where you will be introduced to the teaching team and the teaching and learning facilities that you will benefit from throughout your studies. There will be a series of interactive sessions where you will be able to get your hands on some scientific equipment and sample some of the diverse range of experimental disciplines encompassed by the Biomedical Sciences. Next, you will have the opportunity to discuss your scientific interests and current topics in biomedical sciences with a member of the academic teaching team during a small group tutorial session.

Following this, there will be a presentation where the programme curriculum will be discussed in detail, which will include a discussion centred around the transferable work and research attributes that you will gain whilst the course. 

Finally, there will be an opportunity for a question and answer session with the teaching team.
