Drawing and Portfolio Development

This short course which is for one term only is aimed at showing those, who don’t think they can draw, that it is possible to develop an aptitude to observe and interpret inspiration so that design ideas can be translated into meaningful illustrations through drawing and mark making.

The course will benefit those who are new to jewellery design, students who are considering applying to the School of Jewellery but have never before created a portfolio of work and also those who may be part way through a course and are struggling to answer a brief or understand design development.

The course runs for one term only from 05 October to 14 Dec 2016.

Entry Requirements

Part of the University’s commitment to life-long learning, these part-time evening classes enable you to explore your particular interest and build on existing skills. The focus is on learning through creative practice for its own sake and without the constraints of studying for an award.

No formal qualifications are required to take part in this short course, but you should be motivated and demonstrate an interest in the subject you wish to pursue. While largely for adults of all ages with some experience, there are a few opportunities for beginners.

Please note these are purely classes for leisure and are not certificated.
