You will then move on to the creation of to-scale 3D objects, modelling strategies and preparing designs for creation into physical objects with rapid prototyping. Finally, you will pursue your own design projects, with guidance from the tutor.

This course runs for 2.5 hours per week from week starting 02 October 2017 to 22 June 2018. Term time only.

Entry Requirements

Part of the University’s commitment to life-long learning, these part-time computer-aided design (CAD) evening classes enable you to explore your particular interest and build on existing skills. The focus is on learning through creative practice for its own sake and without the constraints of studying for an award.

No formal qualifications are required to take part in this part-time CAD short course, but you should be motivated and demonstrate an interest in the subject you wish to pursue. While largely for adults of all ages with some experience of CAD, there are a few opportunities for beginners.
