Johannes Goritzki is one of the legendary cellists of our time. He studied with Casals, Cassado and Navarra, and in his early career worked with Menuhin, Serkin and Végh.
His students in this country alone include Paul Watkins, Jane Salmon, Melissa Phelps, Kirsten Jenson, Amanda Truelove and Richard Lester.
Johannes has a special love for, and understanding of, the works of Reger. He has championed Reger's monumental late Cello Sonata all his life. This is a very rare opportunity to hear a virtuoso work of staggering power.
