René Mogensen

René Mogensen is a composer, musician, researcher, producer and educator, originally from Denmark. He has been involved in diverse genres of music, and has a wide, international experience both as a composer, performer and music technologist. He continues to be open-minded about musical explorations, and other artistic experimentation.

René has completed composer residencies at various institutes including STEIM in Amsterdam, NADINE in Brussels, Logos in Ghent, Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College, California, the NYU summer school in Pisa, EMU Cyrpus, and the Damascus Circus School project.

René has worked with several New York City choreographers including Douglas Dunn, Renata Celichowska and Louise Klixbüll. He directed a new music performance group in New York during the 1990s. He has also been creatively involved in multimedia theater productions in Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy and Denmark in recent years.
