Jewellery Innovation Centre

The Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre (JIIC) supports a wide cross section of industry through its research, knowledge transfer activities, training, mentoring and industry focused collaborative consultancy and projects. JIIC is internationally respected for its expertise in utilising highly complex CAD/CAM and laser technologies to provide small scale product development solutions for companies.

Through the JIIC we have been cultivating an innovative approach to technology and its usage throughout the Creative Industries, allowing them to appreciate the potential of cutting edge technology and how it is of benefit to their businesses.

The Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre has worked with and provided assistance to a significant number of individual companies. Its clients include designer makers and start up businesses, small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) and large companies with a global presence from a wide range of industries, including architecture, animation, automotive, jewellery and silversmithing, micro engineering , museums, product and furniture design. Much of the work it undertakes is commercially sensitive or proof of concept related. It has been instrumental in helping its clients achieve new sales and realise innovative goals and initiatives.
