This year’s Brindleyplace Dragon Boat race is this Saturday, and will see people from all over the region go racing down many of Birmingham's famous canals in decorated Dragon Boats.

Now in its 18th year, the event is raising money for Cure Leukaemia with a whole host of Asian inspired family events.

This is just one of the many aspects of Chinese life that Birmingham has taken to heart over the past few years. This is reflected in Birmingham City Universities growing Chinese studentship, which grows year on year. With that in mind, and to celebrate the Dragon Boat festival this weekend, we've put together a helpful Chinese guide to Birmingham, displaying all the best places to go to get a genuine taste of the Far East.
