Experts at BIAD’s Jewellery Innovation Centre (JIIC) and Design Knowledge Network (DKN) are working together to engage industry.
Free business support for companies
Our consultants at JIIC and DKN have come together to form a business networking group called Interiors and Lifestyle Futures.
Alongside industry partner Ceramic Industry Forum, based in Stoke, they are offering free advice and support to businesses.
Together, the three teams provide dedicated business expertise which is open to all companies working in the West Midland’s interiors and lifestyle markets.
This includes business improvement workshops, facilitation of inter-company partnerships and seminars including marketing, branding and product innovation.
In 2010, Interiors and Lifestyle Futures worked with 90 companies. Their work resulted in a number of successful collaborations, including a group of jewellery and giftware manufacturers working together to develop a shared stand for a trade event, and another group forming a contract interiors project aimed at winning bigger contracts and sharing best practice.
By sharing knowledge, resources and channels, West Midlands companies can tackle new high value markets together.
