Doug Ellis Sports Centre
The multi-million pound Doug Ellis Sports Centre in Perry Barr is situated on the former Ansells Sports Club site off Wellhead Lane. The state-of-the-art facility offers an 80-station fitness suite equipped with cutting edge equipment, dance and aerobic studios and a sports hall large enough to accommodate eight badminton courts, with a full-sized all-weather pitch due to be completed this year offering additional sporting facilities.
The Sports Centre is open 7 days a week, with a range of membership options available. Birmingham City University alumni are entitled to discounted rates, which can be obtained by presenting a copy of your degree certificate or transcript and photo ID when registering.
